Acerca del evento
Join Cave Canem fellow Teri Ellen Cross Davis for a poetry reading. In this series, poets, whose words help make this a place of conscience, reclaim the plantation landscape. Teri is the author of A More Perfect Union which won The Journal/Charles B. Wheeler Poetry Prize and Haint, winner of the 2017 Ohioana Book Award for Poetry.
Free Workshop 11-2 SUNDAY 5/30 “Tell Me Your Names” with Teri Ellen Cross Davis
This generative workshop explores family and ancestry through poetry. Using close readings of Etheridge Knight, Rita Dove, Lucille Clifton, and more, we consider how poems can examine, celebrate, and/or reconsider history. Discussions may center around how persona and voice inform written work.
Advanced registration is required due to pandemic:
