The John Robert Doyle, Jr. Prize

Brian Slusher

Dead, I Take-up Stargazing

I thought the coffin lid
would ruin the view
but I find it serves as
well as any planetarium dome
whereon the fierce, clear
fires of my life appear
projected on satin, little
chips of brilliance
genially far, insignificant
but lovely
