Saturday, November 1: Hilton Head Poetry Trail

We will rendezvous at Shelter Cove Park at 10 am at the park’s pavilion. There is ample free parking. This is a beautiful spot along Broad Creek marshland and includes a large part of our Sculpture Trail along a paved level walkway. Eight HH Poetry Trail stops, and even our Veterans Memorial lie along this path of about 1.2 miles.

As we "tour" this we can stop and read the poems, talk about how they connect to the location, and what it might inspire in our own poetry. There are cafe style tables at one end of the park, and a sheltered pavilion with picnic tables where we can sit after our walk, perhaps create a poem from something that inspires, or share a poem you brought.
