Poetry Trails

The Poetry Society of South Carolina is beginning our Poetry Trails season in the upcountry in Lancaster at Andrew Jackson State Park. There is a small admission fee for the state park. Bring your journal, water bottle, and poems.  The group will gather at 10:00 a.m. in the parking area near the meeting house and Crawford Trail. Attendees will have opportunities to read their poetry and listen to other guests' poems while walking outdoors together exploring another of our South Carolina state parks. Near the conclusion, a prompt will be provided to work on. If you plan to linger in the area, downtown Lancaster has many artists and restaurants on Gay St including sculptor Bob Doster's Backstreet Studios.
