Scientific fact can shape and inform poems in many ways. In this workshop, we will review five functions of research and science in creative writing. Participants will write and read poems to learn how horseshoe crab blood, the honeybee thermal defense, leishmaniasis, and other remarkable, true things from the natural world can be woven into compelling and distinct poetry and prose.
