February Poetry Trails

Join Poetry Society board member and Poet Laureate of Goose Creek SC, Tina Baumis, for two relaxing hours in Aiken as we share poetry outdoors walking around Hopeland Gardens.  We will meet in the parking area at 10:00 a.m. Poetry Trails is a casual meetup. The individuals in attendance may read their own poems, favorite poems, or listen with friends as we build relationships and friendships while exploring a SC Park. Bring a notebook and pen for jotting down thoughts or prompts you notice while spending time together. We often conclude with a writing exercise or similar opportunity to motivate participants' creativity into new poetry. Just because it is Valentine's Day doesn't mean the poems have to be about love or the lack thereof, unless you want to make the day sweet or sour to bring smiles or an ahh...reaction.  We hope to see you there.
