Paphos in February, and the villages above it

We flew out on the 3rd of February last year meaning to look, not to buy. Peter wanted to see the town out of season, and I wanted to know whether I could stand the wind off the sea when it gets up in the afternoons. It was fine. Bracing, as my mother would have said.

By the second week we had walked most of Kato Paphos and a fair way up towards Tala, and the idea of a small detached house for the winters stopped being a daydream. We are both retired, the flat in Harrogate stays, and from November to March we would rather be somewhere we can sit outside with the paper.

Since we got back I have been going through https://tranio.com/cyprus/paphos/detached/ on Sunday evenings and marking the villages on the big paper map we bought at the kiosk by the harbour. There are eleven pins in it now, most of them north of the town. Peter only looks at the ones with a garden.

We go back in January for a fortnight to see four of them properly.

Has anyone here wintered in one of the villages above Paphos rather than in the town itself? I would like to know how quiet quiet is in December.
