High on the Hog

You want to live high on the hog
no matter what your social standing:
flea, louse, nit.

There’s the view, of course
and the high of hogs tends to be drier
than the low

and the smells less smelly
and the dangers of a sudden death
less, too. I’ve yet to see a hog
sleep on its back.

Pick the head, right between the ears
if you can find a place there.
A hog will bite its butt
but never its own head.

Try to bite yours.
